I hope the prizes have given you all an incentive to win...... and how about some eye candy from the DT to give you some beautifully stamped inspiration! As there are ATB cube kits in the prize, the DT thought they would share some ATB projects with everyone! The cubes used are the exact ones featured in the prize bundle.
*** Remember though, you can enter ANY KIND of project for this challenge! ***
So here is my inspiration piece, I absolutely love these ATB's, they glued together perfectly, and covered well. You can paint them or paper them, ink them or texture them. It's up to you. Mine seemed to lend itself to a Christmas theme, although I might be a little early!
Firstly I used Flitterglu to glue my cube together. It's not just good for flake you know! As it's very tacky, it grabs well and holds strongly on mdf or ply etc. Once glued, I covered all the sides in BoBunny papers from my stash, it's the gold and silver collection christmas papers, I loved the spotty but distressed look.
Over this, I stamped Indigoblu's Limor Webber Ink Splats, in Stazon Spiced Chai, in 2nd gen stamping, and then some 1st gen. If you are new to stamping, 1st gen (generation) is taking your stamp straight to paper after inking, but 2nd gen is stamping once on scrap, then taking it to your paper, to get a muted result.
I then stamped Indigoblu's brand new Christmas Icons, onto one of the patterned papers, again with stazon. They were cut out and edged in ink, and layered onto the cube sides.
I used some lovely embellishments in scrabble letter style, for the Merry, and used Stazon's new Studio Glaze, in Neon Amplify (it's white but heat it and it puffs up like snow!) This was added to the letters and the edge of my cube, and the cube was distressed all round with Vintage photo distress ink to add to the aged effect.
Some lovely little feet were added, and my ATB was complete.
Hope you like it!
Join us at Craft Stamper for some awesome inspiration, and remember you can enter any project into the challenge, as long as it fits the theme and has stamping on it somewhere. It doesn't have to be an ATB, our inspiration is just to show you what you can do with the fab prizes this month.
Good luck and best wishes,
Nikki
