Craft Stamper October Challenge Reminder - Take a technique

Morning everyone,

It's reminder time at Craft Stamper again, in the Take it Make it Challenge.  This month the theme is 'Take a Technique, and comes from the new strapline of the magazine, Ink Stitch Paint Collage Print Paper.  And of course.. stamp!

So take any of the above techniques (or all of them), include stamping somewhere on your piece, and enter the challenge!

We have two prizes on offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for October is

Calico Craft Parts

Calico Craft Parts create and stock an incredible array of MDF and greyboard laser cut shapes, soooo many to choose from, and such wonderful quality. From cogs and spiderwebs through to shadow boxes and ATB (Artist Trading Block) kits, there really is something for everyone!

The prize this month is this wonderful selection of goodies:

We have:
Top row left to right: 3" plain ATB cube kit, mini cogs style 1, geometric cut out ATC blank.
Middle row left to right: Mini fancy shapes 1 wood plaques, 2" square aperture ATB cube kit, mini crowns style 3.
Bottom row left to right: Fleur De Lis frame ATC blank, Mini butterflies style 3, Fancy cut out frame ATC blank.

Wow! Fabulous prize!
Our randomly drawn winner will be one lucky person!

Our second winner is our Design Winner. This winner is chosen by our DT, who all vote for their favourite design from all of the entries. This winner will have their winning project published in Craft Stamper Magazine, (with a 2 page spread of their very own!), they will have a GDT slot for an upcoming challenge, and will also feature in their very own Winners Profile blog post!

This is my inspiration piece, a small canvas painted with studio acrylics, in bright pinks, yellow's, blue and white, accented in black.  There is a Tim Holtz rub on on there, Indigoblu sentiment stamps and the little question/exclamation mark, and my favourite stampotique girl.  I've edged the circles in fine liner pen, and drawn the border.  The large circle marks were added with a lid dipped in paint, and I've used an old credit card for the lines.  She is grounded on an old book page, and the flower stamp was from a magazine, stamped three times and cut out.

I had great fun making this, and I love the sentiment - it's very true you know!

So we hope to see you at the Craft Stamper Blog, we'd love to see your entries to the TIMI challenge.

Good luck and best wishes,

Nikki
