Craft Stamper August Challenge Reminder - Take a technique - Pens & Pencils

Hi everyone,

Over at the Craft stamper Challenge blog it's take a technique time, and this month's technique is 'Pens and Pencils'.

Our sponsor this month is Chocolate Baroque:

And the prize is this fabulous stamp set:

This is my reminder inspiration piece for the challenge:

Firstly I stamped Elizabeth Bennet from Indigoblu, with Versafine ink onto cardstock, and lightly coloured in with Prismacolour pencils.  A little red on the lips and pink flowers was all it needed to lift this lovely sepia toned image.

I then cut the image to fit the bezel, and coated it with slap it on, front back and sides to seal the image and stop the resin from seeping in and spoiling it.

You then glue the image into the bezel, you can use slap it on for this too, and leave it to dry.  Your  image in the bezel must be dry before you add resin, or it will create bubbles and cloud over.

I used ICE Resin, and mixed it on a 1 to 1 ratio, it's really easy to use.  It goes cloudy and then comes clear, you need to mix for approx 2 mins.

Carefully add resin to your image, not much is needed, or it can overflow, but if you are careful you can get it to dome nicely without spoiling.  At this stage I added a little watch cog.

The pendant should be touch dry in about 8-10 hours, nice and hard overnight, and completely cured in 72 hours.

I added a bird embellishment to the top of the frame with glue, and completed the pendant with a ball chain.

Hop across and join us in the challenge, the only rules are you have to use a proper stamped image or text, and the rest is up to you.  Show us your colouring in, scribbles, doodles on your cards, however you like to use pens and pencils.

Have a fab weekend,

Best Wishes,

Nikki
